Blog #2 - On Edge

While Dorothy wasn’t big into board games, she couldn’t help but to accept Mr. Jenkins request to play chess with him in the park. She has always been really good at getting along with old people, and she genuinely thought they were interesting to talk to. She loved the stories they would tell, especially the ones Mr. Jenkins spoke of relating to how the town used to be. The thoughts of what the town used to be like constantly runs through Dorothy’s head. Maybe it was that she was so new here, or that she didn’t particularly take the time to explore, but she knew essentially nothing of where she now resides. Her apartment had recently been repainted - no more than 5 years ago - so there was no remnants of life before her and her mom. While playing chess, a man began to approach the two of them.
